This full-day, packed-lunch safari takes you into the heart of Tarangire National Park, celebrated for its iconic baobab trees and massive elephant herds concentrated near the Tarangire River. You will explore diverse landscapes to spot predators and prey like, lions, giraffes, zebras. After the safari, youu2019ll travel to Karatu and stay at Marera Valley Lodge or similar hotel for dinner, relaxation, and overnight.

In the morning, after breakfast, our safari guide will pick you up from the lodge and drive you to Lake Eyasi. this area is famous for being home to the Hadzabe - the last hunter-gatherers of East Africa whose practices have remained the same for over 10,000 years. Besides the Hadzabe there is Datoga tribe, that lives nearby. The Datogas look similar like the Maasai. They engage in agriculture and are excellent at working with metals. The shallow salty waters of the lake also attract a lot of birds like Flamingos, weavers, storks, and more. hre, you can enjoying the salty water or the shade of the trees. After all these activities you will be transferred back to the lodge for relaxation, dinner and overnight stay.

Travel Information

A yellow fever vaccination certificate is required for entry into Tanzania if arriving from a yellow fever endemic country. The Serengeti can be cold at night year-round — pack warm layers for early morning game drives. The rainy season (March–May) brings fewer visitors and lush green landscapes but some roads may be impassable.
Lightweight layers, fleece or light jacket, sun hat, sunscreen SPF 50+, insect repellent, binoculars, camera with zoom lens, comfortable walking shoes, neutral-coloured clothing.
Arusha
A 30% deposit is required to secure your booking, with the balance due 60 days before departure. We accept bank transfer and major credit cards. Bookings within 60 days of departure require full payment at time of booking.
Cancellations more than 60 days before departure: deposit forfeited. 30–60 days: 50% of total cost. Less than 30 days: 100% of total cost. We strongly recommend comprehensive travel insurance.
