Terms & Conditions
Last updated: January 2025
1. The Agreement
By booking with Tanzanite Signature Safaris, you enter into a contract for a tailor-made journey designed around your interests and travel style. Our commitment is to provide effortless, meaningful experiences that connect you to the heart of Tanzania.
2. Deposits & Package Variations
To secure your exclusive itinerary, a non-refundable deposit is required. Please note that while our standard deposit is 30%, specific luxury packages, private tented camps, or peak-season bookings may require different deposit amounts or payment schedules. The specific terms for your chosen package will be clearly outlined in your personalized proposal.
3. Cancellations & Refunds
Cancellations must be submitted in writing. Our standard cancellation schedule is as follows: • More than 60 days before departure: The deposit is forfeited. • Between 60 and 30 days before departure: 50% of the total tour cost is forfeited. • Less than 30 days before departure: 100% of the tour cost is non-refundable. Note: Certain high-end lodges or special event packages may carry stricter cancellation policies which will supersede these standard terms where applicable.
4. Expert Curation & Adjustments
We stay ahead of travel trends and park regulations to ensure fresh, authentic experiences. While we strive to maintain every detail of your itinerary, we reserve the right to make professional adjustments to routes or accommodations if required for safety, quality, or local regulatory changes.
5. Mandatory Insurance
Comprehensive travel insurance is a mandatory requirement for all our guests. This must cover medical expenses, emergency repatriation, and trip cancellation. This ensures your adventure remains stress-free even in remote wilderness areas.
6. Health & Mobility
To provide a safe and comfortable adventure, you must share any mobility considerations or dietary requirements during the design phase. This allows our concierge team to handpick hotels and experiences that truly fit your story.
7. Responsibility & Impact
By traveling with us, you contribute to protecting endangered wildlife and empowering local communities. We act as an agent for carefully selected local partners and are not liable for injury or loss resulting from third-party provider actions, though we provide a dedicated concierge to resolve issues proactively.
8. Force Majeure
Tanzanite Signature Safaris cannot accept liability for unforeseen "force majeure" events beyond our control, including natural disasters, pandemics, or civil unrest that may interrupt travel.
9. Travel Documents
Guests are responsible for ensuring they have a valid passport and the correct visas for the United Republic of Tanzania and any other destinations on their East African itinerary.
10. Governing Law
These terms are governed by the laws of the United Republic of Tanzania. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts in Tanzania.
