Departure from Dar es Salaam to Mikumi National Park (6hrs)
Our Tanzanite Signature Safaris guide will pick you up from your hotel or the airport in Dar es Salaam to begin your journey to Mikumi National Park. The scenic 309km drive offers a beautiful introduction to the Tanzanian landscape, featuring a scheduled stop in the historic town of Morogoro for a curated lunch before continuing toward the park's gates. Upon arrival in the evening, you will check in at Camp Bastian Mikumi to unwind and enjoy a gourmet dinner. Your first night will be spent immersed in the tranquility of the bush, perfectly positioned for the wildlife adventures that await you at sunrise.
Full-Day Wilderness Exploration in Mikumi
In the morning, after breakfast at Camp Bastian, you will depart for a comprehensive full-day game drive within the vast plains of Mikumi National Park. As the morning mist rises, you will venture deep into the park to encounter its diverse residents. Here is the home of variety species of biodiversity, here you will see big herd of Buffalos, Elephants, Giraffes, Zebras, Antelopes, Hippos, Crocodiles, and Lion, different species of Birds like Marabou stock as well as big plants such as Baobab, Palm tree and Mahogany tree. After a day of immersive wildlife viewing, you will return to the comfort of Camp Bastian Mikumi in the evening for a gourmet dinner and your overnight stay.
Mkata Plains & Return to Dar es Salaam
In the morning, after breakfast at Camp Bastian Mikumi, you will embark on a morning game drive through the park premier wildlife corridors, including the Mkata Floodplain and the legendary Chamgore. After a morning of exploration, you will begin your return journey to Dar es Salaam, pausing for a leisurely lunch in Morogoro Town. Your Tanzanite Signature Safaris experience concludes with a seamless transfer to either the Julius Nyerere International Airport or your hotel in Dar es salaam. you can extend your adventure to the beautiful island of Zanzibar or Mafia.
