Masai Mara National Reserve

The Masai Mara is Kenya's most celebrated wildlife reserve and the northern extension of the Serengeti ecosystem. Covering 1,510 square kilometres of rolling grassland and acacia scrub, it is renowned for its extraordinary lion population and year-round game viewing. From July to October, the reserve witnesses the Great Migration's dramatic river crossings, as wildebeest and zebra ford the crocodile-filled Mara River in one of nature's most spectacular events.
